Formed in the 1980s, the 2nd Rhode Island Volunteers Company B Reenactors are a group of living historians that tell the story of the original 2nd Rhode Island Volunteers that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War from May of 1861 till July of 1865. We have two platoons; 1st Platoon is based out of New Jersey and 2nd Platoon is based out of Rhode Island. We participate in full scale reenactments, living histories, parades, and educational presentations from Maine to Virginia and out to Pennsylvania.
